The 2017 Innovation Challenge

FaegreBD completed its first Innovation Challenge in 2017, with professionals from all the firm’s offices, groups and industry teams collaborating to serve our clients more creatively and effectively. FaegreBD challenged its professionals to team up and innovate to achieve the following strategic objectives:

The response was extraordinary: over 230 lawyers and consultants formed teams and collaborated to develop new ideas to improve client service and drive the firm forward.

The winning team created a project management tool made of virtual workspaces through which team members can store and organize files, assign and track tasks, and share notes – with a goal of encouraging collaboration while maximizing efficiency. The “fan favorite” proposal addressed stress in the profession by using intentional and systematic collaboration to support “unplugged” vacation time, personal wellness and balance.
